Four more prominent national environmental leaders endorse Sean Casten for Congress

Four nationally recognized environmental leaders, including a former EPA administrator and a top science advisor to President Obama – endorsed Sean Casten for Congress in Illinois’ 6th District.  

They add their names to the growing list of public and private sector leaders in the fight against climate change who call Casten the only candidate capable of defeating Peter Roskam and taking the fight for science and facts to Congress.

Among the endorsers is Bill McKibben, author of “The End of Nature” and founder of

“Sean has the right combination of feistiness and knowledge to make him a force for the good in DC. A few less lawyers and a few more do-ers!” said McKibben.

Casten was also endorsed by Bill Reilly, former Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, Don Wuebbles, Former Deputy Director at the Office of Science and Technology Policy under President Obama, and Jigar Shah, Founder of SunEdison and CEO of Carbon War Room.

“I am honored by the support from people whose leadership is the last line of defense against the reckless anti-science agenda of the president and Peter Roskam,” said Casten.
